about azure site recovery (ASR)
Azure site recovery helps to maintain business continuity during outages , azure site recovery ensures replication of running VMs / Physical machine to a secondary location. At time of any outage at primary location secondary location becomes active. Once the primary location outage resolved system can fall back to again primary location.
CREATION OF DEFAUL VAULT SERVICE
Search for Service Vault post as shown here enter the required value to create the recovery service vault. Once the vault is created we can see it under all resources.
We can see now default recovery services vault under all resources.
ENABLE REPLICATION FOR SERVICE VAULT
Click the service vault (default) which we have just created now.
Click on Enable replication.
Provide the required values and click on replicate so once replication is completed we can see allt he relevant replication tasks as successful.
Once replication is completed for VM, we can test the test failover feature..
Do note replication will be done at different location from the current VM location.
